Born in Manchester on March 27, 1932, he was the son of Euclide and Mary (Vincent) Lemay. He lived in Manchester many years before moving to Bedford in 1973. He also wintered in New Port Richey, FL for 10 years.
He served in the NH Air National Guard and was activated during the Korean War.
Mr. Lemay worked at Sanders Associates and Merchants Motors for many years.
He was a member of the Queen City Pool League, Eastside Club and Dearhead Sportsman's Club.
He was married to Antoinette (Turcotte)(Cote) Lemay who died in 2008.
The family includes nine children, Linda Cote of Manchester, Diane LeBreux of Londonderry, Donna Charpentier of Hooksett, Donald Lemay of Webster, Denise Penaskovic of Londonderry, Karen Farnsworth of Manchester, Diane Boucher of Bedford, Denis Lemay of Goffstown and Brian Lemay of Manchester; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, January 7, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Committal prayers followed at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
