Ronald W. Barcomb

   Ronald W. Barcomb, 74, formerly of Manchester and Goffstown, died June 13, 2023 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton after a long illness.

   He was born in Keene on April 23, 1949 to Ronald and Lillian (Davis) Barcomb.  He graduated from Keene High School in 1967 and later earned an associate’s degree from Manchester Community College.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971.

   Ron worked in automotive repair at Sears and later, retail management at Walmart and Off Broadway Shoes.  He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox and NASCAR.  He enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales.  He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Manchester and a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 992 in Hillsboro (and previously, VVA, Chapter 41 in Concord).

   He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Russell Barcomb and Jerry Barcomb.

   Ron is survived by his wife of 18 years, Eveleen (Dickerson) (Mayhew) Barcomb of Goffstown; two children, Jeremy Barcomb and Colleen Barcomb; two step-children, Melissa Mayhew and Frederick Mayhew II; two grandchildren, Cameron and Colin; five step-grandchildren, Jenna, Devon, Henry, Hazel and Hannah; one step-great grandchild, Harleigh; a sister, Mary Sargent and a nephew, Robert Sargent.

   SERVICES:  Calling hours are on Monday (6/26) from 3 to 6 p.m. followed immediately at 6 p.m. by a funeral ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.  The funeral ceremony will be live-streamed and can be accessed by clicking on the link here:

   A cemetery committal service is on Wednesday (6/28) at noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
