Ronald A. Black, 68, of Hooksett, died May 26, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 27, 1946 in Manchester, he was the son of Lawrence and Helena (Foley) Black. He was educated in the local school system and attended Manchester West High School.

During the Vietnam War, he served in the US Marine Corp. Ronald was self employed from 1968 until 2004, in the construction and demolition business. He enjoyed fishing "up north", playing horseshoes and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Family members include his wife, Deloris (Elliott) Black of Manchester; two daughters, Pamela Black of North Conway and Rhonda Black of Manchester; seven grandchildren, Nathan and Steven Johnson, Ava, Evan and Owen DeSouza, all of North Conway, and Gabriella and Piskila Mesa of Manchester; brother, Kevin Black, Sr. of Hooksett; sister Katherine Holmes of Exeter. He was predeceased by both parents; and three brothers, Richard, Lawrence and Brian Black.

A graveside service, with military honors, was held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH, 03102. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Ste. 110, Bedford, NH, US, 03110.
