Ronald A. Carbonneau, 82, of Manchester, died peacefully on March 26, 2025, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on May 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Roger and Laurette (Gagnon) Carbonneau. He was a graduate of Ste. Marie High School and earned his Embalming License from New England Institute of Anatomy and Embalming. He served in the National Air Force Guards during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged at the rank of Airman 2nd Class, Aeromedical Evac Flt., in 1967.

Ron worked as an embalmer for many years for J.N. Boufford Funeral Home, later changing his career and becoming a technician with the Water Treatment Plant, for the City of Manchester. He retired after 25 years and went on to work part time for Lambert Funeral Home.

Ron had a passion for tennis, which he played for many years and made lasting friendships. He was a kind, hardworking man who loved his family beyond words. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marie Jeanne (Genest) Carbonneau, his children, Marc Carbonneau and wife Diane of Exeter, Celeste Simpson and husband Brian of Windham and Renée Studer of Manchester; five grandchildren, Brett and Sophie Simpson, Chase and Aiden Studer, and Nathaniel Sephton; one sister, Elaine Nelson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents; and one brother, Roger Carbonneau.

All services will be private. Ron will be laid to rest in NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to: American Red Cross, 425 Reservoir Ave., Manchester, NH 03104.
