He was born in Manchester on July 25, 1939, the son of Joseph B. and Germaine (Guilmette) Desrochers. He was educated in the local school system.
During the Korean Conflict, he served in the US Air Force.
Ronald had been employed for 28 years by Wonder Bread. He had worked as a route salesman for 15 years with the company prior to being promoted to supervisor, a position he held for 13 years prior to his retirement.
He was active in his community and held membership in the Knights of Columbus Council 5260, the American Legion Jutras Post 43, as well as the League of One Thousand Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood. Above all else, he loved the game of bingo and enjoyed both playing and working at numerous bingo events.
He was a longtime communicant of St. Pius X Church.
Members of his family include his wife of 36 years, Teresa M. (Felch) Desrochers of Manchester; four children, Katherine MacDonald of Candia, Raymond Desrochers of Hooksett, Donald Desrochers of Dundee, NY, and Diane "Cookie" Hebert of Manchester; three step-children, Kevin Bresnahan of Manchester, Moira Gagnon of Manchester, and Brian Bresnahan of Boscawen; fifteen grandchildren; his mother, Germaine Desrochers of Goffstown; one brother, Robert J. Desrochers of Goffstown; one sister, Madeleine Turcotte of Goffstown; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Pius X Church on Saturday, January 3, 2009. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
