Ronald A. Girolimon

June 12, 1942 — April 20, 2025

Ronald Girolimon, 82, a beloved brother, uncle, great uncle, devoted companion, and cherished friend, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of athleticism, service, and community.

A standout athlete, Ron lettered in multiple sports at Central High School and Brewster Academy before continuing his passion for baseball as a pitcher at Boston University, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree. His love of competition extended beyond the diamond—he was a skilled tennis player and an avid golfer who enjoyed the camaraderie and challenge of the game. He was a member for years at the Manchester Country Club, Bobby Jones Country Club in Sarasota Fl. and Intervale Country Club.

Ron proudly served his country as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, embodying the values of honor and dedication. After returning home, he succeeded his grandfather and father as the owner and operator of Angelo’s Restaurant, a Manchester landmark since the 1930s. In the decades that he worked there, Ron welcomed generations of families, friends, and visitors to the establishment, along with his wonderful and valued employees making it a place of warmth, tradition, and great food.

In retirement, he embraced the best of both worlds—spending winters in Florida, enjoying the sunshine and relaxation he had earned, and summers at home with family and friends in New Hampshire. A man of deep faith, Ron was a communicant of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Esther (Coyne) Girolimon and Albert Girolimon. He is survived by his loving sister, Jill Parenteau, and her husband David Parenteau, brother, Gary Girolimon, his devoted companion, Patti Houston, and nieces Katie Watson, Cara Doucet and Mia Girolimon, nephew and God Son, Brett Parenteau. Ron will always be cherished in their memories.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in the near future for family and friends to honor and remember Ron.

Ron’s kindness, dedication, generosity, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
