Ronald L. Fortier, 72, of Bedford, passed away unexpectedly, on November 18, 2021, at his residence.
Born in Manchester on November 29, 1948, he was the son of the late Adrien and Therese (Hebert) Fortier. Ron was a graduate on Manchester High School West and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City, until he moved to Bedford in 1989. He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged at the rank of Boatswain Mate in 1973 and worked as a carpenter for many years before retiring in 1998. Jackie and Ron were married in 1973 and Ron rehabbed the first floor of a three tenement house that he purchased. They moved to Bedford and Ron made several changes to the house over many years.
Ron was a true craftsman with an innate ability to make diamond dot pieces. He was extremely kind and generous and was a devoted and loving husband, an exceptional friend.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Jacqueline L. (Pinard) Fortier and their fur baby, Leggs.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be from 4pm to 6pm, with military honors at 5:30pm, on Monday, November 29th at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104.
