Ronald H. Montplaisir

Ronald H. Montplaisir Sr., 85, of Manchester, died November 23, 2011 at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on January 26, 1926 to Henry and Eva (Provencher) Montplaisir. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy as a signalman on an LST in the South Pacific.

Mr. Montplaisir was an accountant and office manager at State Motors in Manchester for many years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 79 and had volunteered for Boy Scouts Troop 93 for many years. He also coached baseball at Southwest Little League for 26 years and was known as "Mr. M". He followed that with several more years as a league volunteer.

He enjoyed candlepin bowling and attending his grandsons sporting events.

The family includes his wife of 61 years, Nancy (Krajewski) Montplaisir of Manchester; two children, Ronald H. Montplaisir Jr. and his companion, Cynthia Sinville, of Manchester, and Kim Coyle and her husband, Kevin, of Nashua; two grandsons, Jamison Coyle and Jesse Coyle; a sister, Doris Barrett and her husband, Robert, of Florida; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers.

The funeral was held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. Bishop Thomas Gnat officiated. Committal prayers followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Goffstown Road, Goffstown.
