He was born in Canada, on June 10, 1932 and was the son of Joseph and Yvonne (Vallee) Parent. He lived in Connecticut for most of his life until moving to Goffstown in 2001.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, traveling, hunting, fishing and playing golf.
IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his beloved wife, Estelle Drapeau of Goffstown; a son, Jean Claude Parent and his wife, Nathalie, of Stratford P.Q; five step children, Denise Watts and her companion, Oscar Goodwin, of Washington, Ginette Provencher and her husband, Raymond, of Dalton, Peter "Joe" Drapeau of Bedford, Lucy Farella and her husband, Rick, of Washington, and Reggie Drapeau and his wife, Marguerite, of Northport, FL; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Laurier Parent, and three sisters, Juliette Therrien, Gabrielle Beaudoin and Yvette Couture all of Canada. He was predeceased by four brothers, Roland Parent, Emilien Parent, Jean Marie Parent and Leo Parent; and two sisters, Carmelle Simoneau and Simonne Roy.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 19, 2010 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial was at the convenience of the family in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.
