Rosalie “Rose” M. (Chyzewski) (Frechette) Lussier, 86, of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024 at her home after a period of declining health. She and her husband, Alfred “Al” R. Lussier, who was her devoted caregiver in recent years, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on September 15th .
She was born in Lowell, MA on November 4, 1937, to the late Joseph Chyzewski and the late Veronica (Sosnowy) (Chyzewski) Frechette. She was also the stepdaughter of the late Leo Frechette Sr.
In addition to her husband, Rose is survived by her daughter, Patricia Blais and her husband, Allen, of Moody, ME; her son, Joseph Lussier and his wife, Lori, of Bedford, NH; two grandsons, Michael Blais and his wife, Mallory, of Manchester NH, and Matthew Blais and his fiancée, Jessica Komorowski, of Milford, CT; one great granddaughter, Isla Rose Blais, of Manchester, NH; two brothers, Donald Frechette and Ronald Frechette and his wife, Sue.
She was also the sister of the late Edward Frechette (survived by his wife, Lorraine Frechette) and Leo “Butch” Frechette Jr. (survived by his wife, Muriel Frechette).
Rose graduated from Dracut High School and was a lifelong resident of Dracut, MA before moving to Bedford, NH three years ago. She will always be remembered for her joyful smile, kindness and the pure love that everyone who encountered her felt immediately.
She was a dedicated employee of the Washington Savings Bank in Lowell, MA for 44 years. Rose worked her way up from being a bank teller at age 18 to Assistant Treasurer, when she retired at age 62. She took great pride in her work accomplishments and truly valued the many co-workers, customers and board members she encountered during those years.
Rose was a passionate sports fan of all the local Boston teams, but her favorite team was always the Boston Red Sox. She loved attending games at Fenway Park and watched as many as she could at home with her husband. She also enjoyed attending many plays and ice-skating events. She loved all pets, but kitties were her favorite.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially attending her grandsons’ hockey and baseball games. She never missed one of Mike and Matt’s games and was their biggest fan. Rose also loved the ocean and cherished the many years spent at Moody Beach in Maine with her family.
Rose loved to travel. Some of her favorite trips included the Bahamas, Mexico, Australia, Fiji, France and Italy. She and Al also spent many years traveling to Florida.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass to be celebrated on Saturday November 2 , 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford, NH.
