Rose M. (Porter) Chaput, 81, of Manchester, died January 1, 2015 at the Courville at Manchester.

She was born in Berwick, ME on February 9, 1933 to William and Rose Alma (Langlois) Porter. Her family moved to Manchester where she was raised and educated.

She worked many years at Bee Bee Shoe Company until retiring in the late 1970's.

Rose married Raymond G. Chaput in 1971 and they enjoyed 33 wonderful years together before he passed away in 2004. They had been longtime communicants of St. Pius X Church.

Since 2006, she had been in the care of the Courville Communities where she received excellent care and love at the Carlyle Place in Bedford, then at the Courville at Manchester. Her family would like to thank the staff that helped to make her happy and feel at home.

She will be remembered for her love of life and her hearty laughter. She always believed in having fun and being around those she loved. Her famous saying was "I'm only going through this way once and I plan to enjoy".

Rose will be missed by her family and friends.

The family includes a niece, Linda Soucy and her husband, Marc, of Manchester; a nephew, Ray Labbe and his wife, Janet, and their children, of Chichester; and longtime friends, Nancy and Noel Taylor of Florida. She was predeceased by a brother, Lionel Labbe in 1996.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Services are private and burial will be in the spring at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
