Sister Rose-Marie Cormier, 97, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, 495 Mammoth Rd, Manchester, NH, died October 25, 2003, at her residence.
Born November 1, 1905, in Wayland, MA, she was the daughter of Dollard and Mathilda (Blais) Cormier. She entered the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1928, made her ftrst Profession in 1931, and her final Profession in 1936. Sister Cormier received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education from Rivier College, Nashua, NH. She retired in Manchester in 1987.She taught in elementary schools in Woonsocket, RI, until she was transferred to Rivier College, Nashua, NH, where she served until 1987.
During her tenure at Rivier, she held the position, of Registrar, Director of Admissions, and Coordinator of the College Guild. She was also a trustee of the College from 1948 to 1960. She was the author of "A Brief History of Rivier Col1ege 1933-1953."
Family members include several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday October 29, 2003 in the Resurrection Chapel.
Burial followed in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson, NH
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, was in charge of arrangements.
