Rose E. Desfosses, 87, passed away October 10, 2021 in Concord, NH after a period of declining health.
Born on March 7, 1934 in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of Joseph and Corona Gagnon.
Rose will always be remembered for putting her family first, her sense of humor and her ability to laugh at herself. Family knew her best as Mem or Memère, a name that she held with great pride and joy. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards, but most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She and her husband Paul enjoyed their retirement which included traveling to many destinations. Rose was truly a one-of-a-kind woman and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Rose is survived by her husband Paul of 69 years; daughter Collette Gianitisis and her husband Jim, son Paul Desfosses and his wife Cathy, daughter Diane Desfosses, and daughter Sue Gendron and her husband Steve; grandchildren Christie Gianitisis, Jeff Desfosses, Peter George and his wife Bri, Jonathan George and his wife Maria, Bryan Gendron, and Ashley Gendron; and great-grandson Emmett George. She was predeceased by her grandson Bryce Desfosses; her granddaughter Sarah Desfosses; and her siblings.
Lamberts Funeral Home and Crematory are assisting with the arrangements. Per her wishes, funeral services and encryptment in Mount Calvary Mausoleum will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
