Rose Marie (Ceriello) Magarian, 69, of Manchester died February 16, 2004 at Elliot Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Concord on February 1, 1935, she was the daughter of Pasquale and Maria Rose (Lanza) Ceriello. She grew up in Concord and graduated from Concord High School. She lived in Manchester for many years.
She began her working career as an information operator with New England Telephone Company. She retired from NYNEX where she had worked for many years.
Mrs. Magarian was a communicant of St. Raphael Church for many years and was a former member of the PTO of that parish. She had also served as a den mother with the Cub Scouts. In addition, she was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Telephone Pioneers.
She enjoyed a special relationship with her grandchildren.
The family includes four children, Charles H. Magarian II, David A. Magarian and Dawn A. Fuller all of Manchester and Maria R. Ryan of McMinnville, TN; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Vitale of Concord; one uncle and cousins.
Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 am. in St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St., Manchester. After cremation, burial will be in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.
Memorial donations may be made for pancreatic cancer research to the American Cancer Society, 350 Route 101, Bedford 03110.
