Russell J. DeSantis, 67, of Manchester died suddenly on Sunday November 13, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Lawrence, MA on May 21, 1955, he was the son of Richard & Ella (Middlemiss) DeSantis. He was raised in Salem, NH and attended Salem schools.
Russell owned and operated Russ’s Appliance Repair for 35 years. He most recently worked at Lowes in Bedford where he had many friends. In his youth, he enjoyed racing motorcycles and fishing. Most recently he enjoyed going to Foxwoods, Las Vegas, and Atlantic City. He loved playing slots. Over the last three months he enjoyed training and playing with his puppy, Toby.
Russell is survived by his wife Sharon (Guilmette) DeSantis, with whom he recently celebrated 48 years of marriage; his children Melissa DeSantis and Christopher DeSantis; his sister Donna Lomuscio; his Godchildren, Nina Racite and Kendra Joubert; and many nieces and nephews; and his new best friend, his puppy, Toby. He was predeceased by his parents Richard & Ella, and his siblings Richard DeSantis and Darline Orlando.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday, November 18, from 4 to 7 pm at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, followed by a funeral service at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
