Ruth King Joyal died peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born February 2, 1925 in Manchester to Michael King and Anne Lydon King. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Richard J. Joyal and by her six siblings, former New Hampshire Governor John W. King, Mary K. Reeves, Agnes K. Tessier, Monica K. McAfee, Winifred K. Hayes and infant Anne King. She is survived by her three children, Attorney Richard J. Joyal and his spouse Susan, Monica Joyal Slaughter and her spouse Wayne, and Ruth Joyal Morrison and her spouse Bruce, along with four grandchildren, Michael Morrison, Kelsey Morrison, Eric Joyal and Ethan Joyal. She taught herself to play the piano as a child and for the rest of her life her love of music and the company of others resulted in song and laughter where ever she was present, enhanced by her happy spirit, kindness and sincerity. She was a successful executive secretary, wife and mother and she showed by example the meaning of leading a good and dignified life.
Burial services will be private. A memorial Mass was held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at St. Pius Church, 575 Candia Road in Manchester.
