Ruth E. McClellan

She was born in Arlington, MA on May 22, 1925, the daughter of Philip and Ruth (Emmons) Young. She was educated in the Braintree school system and graduated from Braintree High School.

She had been employed in sales by Filene's Department Store.

A devoted wife and mother, Ruth found her greatest joy spending summertime with her family on Quivet Beach in East Dennis on the Cape.

Family members include her husband of 65 years, Robert McClellan of Manchester; one daughter, Anne McClellan and her husband Douglas Wolinsky of Burlington, VT; two sons, Michael McClellan and his wife Renita Leriche of Salem, NH, Scott McClellan and his wife Ann of Lynnwood, WA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Monday, May 10, 2010 in the funeral home chapel.
