Salwa W. (Haddad) Sleiman, 86, of Manchester died suddenly on August 31, 2016, at Catholic Medical Center.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon on September 24, 1929, the daughter of Wadih and Farida Haddad. She was educated in Lebanon and emigrated to the United States in 1987. She was a talented seamstress and dedicated her life to raising her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Salwa was predeceased by her husband, Nassim Sleiman in December.
Survivors include two daughters, Najwa Moussaba and husband Kamal of Manchester, and Nalia Awad and husband Pierre of France; two sons, Nabil Sleiman and wife Anne Marie of France, and Naji Sleiman and Nancy of Huston, TX; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Noha Haddad and husband Henry of Beirut, Lebanon, and Soumaya Bassil of Jbeil, Lebanon. She was also predeceased by three sisters.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in Our Lady of the Cedars Church, corner of Mitchell St. and Calef Rd. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to: Our Lady of the Cedars Church, 140 Mitchell St., Manchester, NH 03103.
