Sandra L. (Robitaille) Philbrook, 83, of Manchester, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on November 14, 1942. She was the daughter of Joseph and Bernice (Wiggin) Robitaille.
Sandra grew up in Maine and New Hampshire. She met and married the love of her life, the late Robert E. Philbrook. They were married for almost sixty-three years before his passing in 2022. Together they had three children, two granddaughters, one grandson, two great granddaughters and one great grandson.
Sandra cherished her family and the time they spent together. She especially loved family celebration parties and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events whether it be ice skating, soccer or cheerleading. “Mimi,” as her grandchildren fondly called her, would never miss an opportunity to show her love to her grandchildren. She would always bring them special treats to brighten their days.
She loved playing bingo, board games and many card games as well. Uno was her favorite card game and she always found a way to make her daughter laugh while they played together. She also loved building puzzles and was quite a crossword puzzle sleuth.
After her children were raised, she took on a part-time job at Easter Seals of New Hampshire, where she received a special award for her commitment to safety and high quality care. For several years, she fostered children and showered them with love and gifts during the holidays. She was always ready to help others and spread her love.
Sandra loved traveling, especially camping with her husband, which they did extensively over the decades. She enjoyed the beach and hiking.
Sandra joins her husband, Robert E. Philbrook, her daughter, Joan Philbrook, her parents, Joseph and Bernice (Wiggin) Robitaille, her brothers, Joseph Robitaille, Donald Robitaille, Richard Robitaille, her sister, Mary Robitaille, their beloved dog, Spunky, and many other family members and friends.
She leaves behind her daughter Janice Lachance with whom she shared a special bond, and her husband Robert Joseph Lachance who she adored and appreciated profoundly, their children Sara Timko and her husband Aulent Timko (Wellington, FL), Meagan Peterson and her husband Erik Peterson (Simpsonville, SC), her son Robert E. Philbrook Junior and his partner Melanie Laurendeau and their son Gavin Philbrook, and great grandchildren Clarisse and Clive Timko and Audrina Peterson. She also leaves her sisters Claudia Reaves (Bedford, NH) and Nancy Read (Hooksett, NH) and many friends, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Lambert’s Funeral Home and Crematory at 1799 Elm Street, Manchester, NH, 03104 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her funeral will take place on March 2, 2026 at Parish of the Transfiguration Church at 305 Kelly Street, Manchester, NH, 03102 with a burial to immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH, 03102.
