Sara W. Kimball

Sara “Sally” Kimball, 87, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Hackett Hill Center in Manchester. She was born on July 24, 1938 in Milton, MA to the late John F. and Sara “Sadie” (Doyle) Galvin.

Sally was proud to be the longest serving foster parent in the state of NH, having served from 1974 until 2024, when she became ill. She had fostered hundreds of children over the last 50 years. She was also very involved in the Boy Scouts Troop 106 and enjoyed many summers with family on both Plum Island and Lake Winnisquam.

Sally is survived by her four children: John Kimball and his wife Lynda, Scott Kimball, Rachel Chulada and her husband Neil, Sara Beth Kimball; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sally is predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Kimball; her son: Kyle Kimball; and her five siblings: Arlene O’Shea, William Galvin, John Galvin, Jacqueline Vargas and Geraldine Galvin.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester from 5pm to 7pm. Burial will be held in the spring in St. Mary Cemetery in Massachusetts.
