She was born July 11, 1942, in Springfield VT, to Trafford and Francis (Cutter) Hicks.
Sarah grew up in Walpole, NH, following her marriage to her husband John, they lived in Germany, Georgia and raised their children in Worcester, MA later they moved back to NH.
She spent the last ten years in FL, only recently did she move to Manchester.
She was a graduate of the Mary C. Wheeler boarding school, and later received a degree in Medical Secretary from Wheelock College.
Sarah enjoyed trips to Cape Cod, Aruba, and the Bahamas. Her free time was spent knitting, and reading. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was looking forward to the birth of her new great-grandson Jaxson.
Family members include her children, Kym Johnston, of Manchester, Sean Hogan, of DE; six grandchildren, Michaela, Bryanne, Reilly, Mary Rose, Anna, George; a great grandson, Peyton; a sister, Debbie Stokes, Westmoreland; four brothers, Sam Hicks, Randy Hicks, Philip Hicks, all of Walpole, Alan Hicks, of VT; several nieces nephews, and cousins; her step-mother, Lyn Hicks, of Walpole; she was predeceased by her husband of 40years John F. Hogan, on 2003
A Service of Remembrance took place on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
