Robert Scott Sprague, 56, of Hooksett, died suddenly on April 16, 2016.
He was born in Stoneham, MA on May 22, 1959, the son of Robert G. and Carol A. (Sveistys) Sprague. Scott graduated from Reading High School in 1977, and worked for the NH State Liquor Commission for the last 8 years. He enjoyed taking on new challenges throughout his life from completing home remodeling projects for friends and family, creating new meals and desserts from recipes he recently learned about on the web, and swimming in the ocean off the Maine coast in early spring while everyone watched from the shore dressed in winter attire. Scott had an infectious sense of humor and loved engaging friends and family in discussing important topics of the day. He had great fun making his point in these discussions. Having fun and poking fun were not off the table. Scott loved to debate. Scott adored his sons and loved to share their successes with everyone. He loved attending their sporting events and spent many a game coaching from the stands. Listening to Scott recap a game his sons participated in made it feel like you were there when he was finished. He was their biggest fan. Scott had the kindest heart and would help anyone in need. He was very caring and sensitive. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Scott is survived by his mother, Carol Sprague of New Port Richey, FL; two sons, Austin and Devon Sprague of Hooksett; one sister, Wendy Sprague of Stoneham, MA; one niece, Madeline Abell of Stoneham, MA; one aunt, Joy Stevens of Lynnfield, MA; one cousin, Kimberly Stevens of Lynnfield, MA; his significant other, Lisa Werner of Manchester; and his former wife, Lisa Sprague of Hooksett. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Sprague in 2015.
