Sharon R. Lafond, 75, of Manchester, passed away April 9th, 2022, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on November 5th, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elva (Lingard) Berry. She was educated at Manchester Central High School and worked as a line supervisor for Osram Sylvania for 30 years before retiring in 2000.
Sharon enjoyed traveling around the world, especially to Ireland and doing so by train. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, and playing cards with her long-time friends. During her retirement years, she was a poker dealer at Sharkys. She was an avid bowler and was in a bowling league with her husband for many years. Along with that, she had a love for the arts. Sharon was very strong-willed and hard-working. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lafond, in 2014.
Surviving family members include her four children, Christine Royal of Naples, FL; Gerard Lafond, Jr. of Belmont; Mark Lafond of Manchester; and Lisa Lafond of Scottsdale, AZ; three grandchildren, Dylan, his loving girlfriend Kelsey, Jacquelyn, and Jaylyn Lafond, all of Manchester; one brother, William Steckis of Nebraska; two sisters, Glenna Swan of Minnesota, and Bonnie Swank of Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and her fur grandbabies, Charlie Bucket and Jack White. She was also predeceased by both parents; and five siblings, Shawn and Dennis Berry, Beth Roy, Kathie Dipietro, and Francis Steckis.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, May 6th at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, May 7th at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester, NH 03103. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, NH 03102.
