It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great father and grandfather, Shawn Lauzon. On July 3rd, 2023, Shawn passed after a four month battle with cancer.
Born to Robert and Doris Lauzon, he leaves behind his son, James Lauzon; daughter in-law Christina; daughter, Sarah Lauzon; eight grandsons, Aaron, Shawn, Ethan, Christian, Tyler, Bryson, Ernest and Nolan; his sister, Sheryl Lauzon; and longtime girlfriend of 26 years, Sandra Butler.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Brian Lauzon.
Shawn was raised in Manchester, where he was a resident of the city for 54 years. He moved to Londonderry with his son, daughter in-law and six of his grandchildren in 2019.
Shawn was known for several different highlights in his life. The owner of a successful diner in Manchester where he seemed to be in his glory, surrounded by people in the center of the city that he knew so well.
He also coached football and baseball for over 30 years touching the lives of hundreds of kids. The joy of helping inner city adolescents on and off the field brought him happiness. He joined his son at Londonderry High School to coach in 2015.
The greatest highlights of his life were his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed countless hours mentoring his son and his son’s friends and he adored his daughter, even through her struggles.
He raised two of his grandchildren full-time, but all of his grandchildren brought an instant smile to his face day in and day out.
