Sheila Window, 61, of Manchester died June 21, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lewiston, ME on August 13, 1955, she was the daughter of Francis and Mary (Dunn) McLaughlin. She was a graduate of Manchester Central High School, attended Nasson College and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Notre Dame College. She worked for 10 years as a residential counselor for Easter Seals until 2016.
Sheila was very creative. She enjoyed drawing, crocheting, knitting and gardening. She was very funny and had a great sense of humor. Above all, her passion was her family. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, nana and sister.
Family includes her mother, Mary (Dunn) McLaughlin of Manchester; two daughters, Jessica Maxson and husband Jesse of TX, and Marissa Window of CA; one son, Seth Window of Manchester; one granddaughter, Sawyer Maxson of TX; two sisters, Janet Bernier and husband James of Manchester, Laurie Dickson and husband Douglas of TX; three brothers, Dennis McLaughlin and wife Stacie of RI, Patrick McLaughlin and wife Robin of Belmont, and Sean McLaughlin and wife Cynthia of MA. She was predeceased by her father in 1979; one sister, Carol McLaughlin in 1968; and one brother Joseph McLaughlin in 2009. Sheila's family would like to extend their gratitude to her nurse Esther and Dr. Rao of Foundation Hematology & Oncology for the care and compassion that they provided to Sheila.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, June 26, 2017 in the chapel of St. Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell St., Manchester. Burial will be held private to the family at a later date.
