Shirley Bissonnette

Shirley P. Bissonnette, of Manchester NH, passed away peacefully On August 6, 2022 at the age of 87 after a period of failing health. She showed unsurpassed strength, courage and faith through every challenge that came her way. She was the true definition of a survivor after her breast cancer battle 45 years ago. 

Shirley was born on September 2,1934, the daughter of Bertrand and Lillian Ducharme. She was raised in Manchester NH, where she met her loving husband of 59 years.

 Shirley loved watching the birds, Nascar races and the Patriots, as well as picnicking at the lake with her beloved dog, Tobie.  For many years she worked in the pharmacy at the Medicine Shoppe. After her retirement, she fell in love with her new job at the Hallmark store, where she was best known as the “Super Sub”  for always filling in at a moment's notice.  

Shirley will be remembered most for her unconditional love, kindness, compassion, and her beautiful eyes that were as blue as the sky.

Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bertrand Bissonnette, and her loving daughter, Denise St. Pierre, who passed just a few short weeks ago. She is survived by her devoted daughter Donna Labbe; her son in-law Larry St. Pierre; son Kenneth Bissonnette and his wife Debbie, along with 4 grandchildren and many great grandchildren all of whom will miss their Nanny greatly.

Visiting hours will be held at Lambert Funeral Home on Friday August 12, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12 pm at St. Anthony’s of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester, NH 03103.  Committal to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, NH.
