Shirley A. Clarke

Hooksett, NH

   Shirley A. (Emmett) Clarke, 74, of Hooksett, died August 10, 2022 after a period of declining health.

   She was born in Manchester on August 1, 1948 to Robert and Violet (Gove) Emmett.  She was a graduate of Manchester Memorial High School and the New Hampshire Vocational Technical College.  She was a lifelong resident of the Manchester area.

   Shirley worked as a licensed nurse assistant and caregiver with the Visiting Nurse Association for 12 years.  She also worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center for 17 years an LNA and in administration.

   She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and games.

   She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Robert Clarke and a brother, Daniel Emmett.

   Shirley is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ostlund and her husband, Douglas, of Hooksett; four grandchildren, Brandon Klardie, Brianna Haskell, Ralph Adam Waterman and Samantha Ostlund; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Karen Smith of Concord, Beverly Davis and her husband, Roland, of Auburn and Judith Emmett of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

   SERVICES:  Calling hours are Thursday (8/11) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.  The funeral is Friday (8/12) at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 14 Hooksett Rd., Hooksett.

   Committal prayers will follow at Martin’s Ferry Cemetery in Hooksett.

   Memorial donations may be made for breast cancer research to Susan G. Komen for the Cure at www.komen.org, or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
