Simonne B. Morin

Simonne B. Morin, 90, of Manchester, died at a local health care facility following a brief illness. She had been a resident of Hillcrest Terrace-Pearl Manor after moving from Washington, DC in August, 1997.

She was born in Manchester, October 14, 1912, and was the daughter of Ulderic and Elise (Perreault) Morin.

She graduated from St. Marie High School, Manchester. She attended Hesser Business College and New York University and continued her education to enhance her career choices.

Her career included key positions with Antoine de Paris (cosmetics) in New York City and with a top restaurant in Washington, DC. In addition she worked for over 30 years with FCIA affiliated with the Import-Export Bank and with Tokyo Electric Power in Washington, DC. Her travels took her to France, Mexico, Spain, Japan, and several other countries. Her interests included various sports, music and the arts.

Family members include a brother, Eugene E. Morin of Manchester; four sisters, Lucille M. Boudreau of Manchester, Helene I. O'Grady of Palo Alto, CA, Gisele L. Clement, and Claire C. Leclerc, both of Goffstown; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Romeo P. Morin, Julien U. Morin, Maurice A. Morin, Georges E. Morin, and a sister, Rita Coviello.

A memorial mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday October 19, 2002 in the chapel of St. Teresa Health Care Center, 519 Bridge St., Manchester.

Urn burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
