Sister Yvette Keroack, CSC (Sister Mary Yvette of the Cross), 99, died May 8, 2017 at her residence.
She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1942 and made her final profession in 1949. She served the Congregation for 75 years.
Sister Yvette was born in Manchester, NH on July 13, 1917, the daughter of Louis Hebert and Aurore (Duff) Keroack. She earned a BA from Notre Dame College, Manchester. Sister Yvette was a teacher and Principal in elementary parochial schools under the direction of the Sisters of Holy Cross. She was stationed in Springfield and New Bedford, MA; Newmarket, Gonic and Nashua, NH.
Sister also served as Director of the Associates from 1981 to 1991. Sister Yvette was stationed in West Franklin and in Pittsfield, NH before retiring to St. George Manor in Manchester in 1993.
She is survived by nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the chapel at the Sisters of Holy Cross, 357 Island Pond Rd, Manchester.
