Socrates N. Marcrigeanis, 91, of Manchester died July 23rd, 2016 at his residence after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester on September 27, 1924, he was the son of Nicholas and Anna (Tsaknaki) Macrigeanis. He was educated in the Manchester school system and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia in 1951. During WWII, he served in the US Army in the European African Middle Eastern Theater.
Prior to retirement, Soc had worked as a forester for Public Service of NH for many years and was a longtime member of the American Society of Foresters.
He was predeceased by his sister Aphrodite Sideris.
Family members include his wife of nearly 56 years, Jacqueline A. (Gregoire) Macrigeanis of Manchester; one brother, James Macrigeanis of Tilton; many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
