Sr. Celia Laliberte, PM

Sr. Celia Laliberte, PM (Sr. M. St. Ernest), 91, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, died December 17, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Biddeford, ME on February 19, 1927 to Ernest and Justine (Lessard) Laliberte.
She made her religious profession in 1945 and earned her bachelor's and master's degree from Rivier University, and her post studies were in Theology. She taught, and was principal of, various elementary and high schools in NH and RI. She was involved in parish ministry and religious education as well. She was also responsible for the formation of young sisters studying at Rivier University. Sr. Celia retired at St. Joseph I in 2011.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Gerard Laliberte; and her sisters, Irene Constantine and Mabel Boucher.
Surviving family members are her sister, Rita Morin of Biddeford, ME; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, December 21, 2018 in the Resurrection Chapel of St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester. Private burial will be in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: the Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104.
