Sr. Constance Perreault, pm

   Sr. Constance Perreault, pm, (Sr. M. Francoise d’Assise) 96, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester, died April 28, 2024 at her residence.

   She was born in Providence, RI on September 9, 1927 to Alphonse and Malvina (Chevalier) Perreault.  She made her religious profession in 1948 and served the Congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary for 76 years.

   She earned a bachelor’s degree at Rivier University in Nashua and a master’s degree in Education from Rhode Island College.

   Sr. Perreault was a teacher and principal at various schools in Rhode Island and New Hampshire.  For 13 years, she was director of the Alumni Association at Rivier University.  In 1987, she received the St. Madeleine of Jesus Award.  She also served in the capacity of secretary to the General Administration of the Presentation of Mary Generalate in Castelgandolfo, Rome, Italy.

   She was adept in providing many community services, including clerical work and was involved with the Marie Rivier Association.  She retired at St. Joseph Residence II in Manchester in 2020.

   She was predeceased by her parents, Alphonse and Malvina (Chevalier) Perreault.

   Sr. Perreault is survived by two siblings, Sr. Jeanne Perreault, pm and Paul Perreault and his wife, Cecile, of Florida; and nieces and nephews.

   SERVICES: A calling hour is Friday (5/3) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed immediately at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial, all in the chapel at St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester.  Private burial will be at Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson.

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund.
