Sr. Fernande Bolduc, pm (Sr. Solange-Marie), 90, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester, NH died February 12, 2025 at her residence.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI on June 3, 1934 to Rosalphe and Aurore (Nadeau) Bolduc. She made her religious profession on August 15, 1955 and served in the Congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary for over 69 years.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in French and a master’s degree in Education, both from Rivier University in Nashua, NH.
Sr. Fernande taught in various schools in New Hampshire and Rhode Island and was principal at Notre Dame School in Phenix, RI for 13 years. For 15 years she was a public school substitute and worked with refugees and poor children in Woonsocket, RI. She retired to St. Joseph Residence in Manchester in 2018.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Roland and her sisters, Solange Caron and Constance Pichierri.
Sr. Fernande is survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
SERVICES; A calling hour is on Tuesday (2/18) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed immediately at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial, all in the chapel of St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH. A cemetery committal service is on Thursday (2/20) at 11 a.m. St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA.
Memorial donations may be made to the Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund and mailed to 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104.
