Sr. Jacqueline E. Kirouac, CSC, (Sr. Mary Paul Henry), 83, of the Sisters of Holy Cross, passed away on June 8, 2022 at Catholic Medical Center.
She was born in Manchester on March 14, 1939, the only daughter of Henry and Corinne (Ouellette) Kirouac’s six children.
She entered the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1957 and pronounced her final vows in 1964.
Sr. Jackie earned a BA degree at Notre Dame College in Manchester. She taught at parochial elementary schools for many years in Massachusetts at New Bedford and Westport and in New Hampshire at Manchester and Derry. She was also a teacher, coach and administrative assistant at Trinity High School in Manchester for 14 years, then worked in the Catholic School Department for the Diocese of Manchester for 10 years.
In her later years, she served the community in Manchester at St. George Manor and Holy Cross Health Center for six years.
Sr. Jackie was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Donald, Camille, Bertrand and Richard.
She is survived by her brother, Louis Kirouac and his wife, Doris, of Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Kirouac of Naples, FL; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; two God sons, Paul Kirouac and Joseph Lebel; many friends and her treasured community, especially Sr. Pauline Lebel and Sr. Jacqueline Brodeur.
SERVICES: A visitation will take place on Monday (6/13) from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 10 a.m. in the church. Committal prayers will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sisters of Holy Cross Development Fund, c/o Sisters of Holy Cross, 365 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, NH 03109.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting with arrangements.
