Sr. Lorette Soucy, pm, (Sr. St. Pie X), 88, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester, died August 25, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Manchester on December 6, 1932, she was the daughter of Eugene and Loza (Bissonnette) Soucy.
Sister Lorette obtained her B.S. in Education and her Master's in Education and French from Rivier University. She was instrumental in promoting the French language in many schools and organizations. She taught, and was principal, in various primary schools in NH and RI and was spiritual animator for the Marie Rivier Associates. for many years. Sister Lorette retired to St. Joseph II in 2016, where she continued her work with the Marie Rivier Associates.
Surviving family members include her sister-in-law, Eleanor Soucy of Manchester; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both parents; and her brother Raymond Soucy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private burial will be at Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester, is assisting with arrangements.
