Stanley W. Ziarko

Stanley W. Ziarko, 87, of Litchfield, died June 25, 2005, at a local health care facility.

He was born in Manchester, on March 14, 1918, and was the son of Anthony, and Anna Ziarko. He was educated in local schools, and was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army as a medic.

Stanley was a member of Local 668, laborers union, having worked in the construction field. He was a lover of nature, and kept a rather large vegetable garden in his back yard. He spent some of his spare time fishing.

Family members include his wife of over 61 years, Viola (Lajoie)Ziarko, of Litchfield; 5 children, Sandra Bucher, of TN, June Dudley, Stanley Ziarko Jr. Judith Salach Kathleen Degulis, all of Manchester; 3 sisters, Frances Bussey, of WI, Pauline Olsen of MD, Mary Stanford, of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater NH Chapter, 10 Ferry St., Suite 419, Concord, NH 03301.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday June 29, 2005. at St. Francis Church in Litchfield. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
