Stella A. Papavasiliou

She was born in Manchester on December 26, 1924, the daughter of Achilles and Vasilike (Bouras) Papavasiliou. She was educated in the local schools and attended Manchester High School Central.

Prior to retirement, she had been employed by New England Telephone for many years.

Stella will be remembered as a generous, loving woman who enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was always willing to lend a hand to others in need. Most of all, she was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was a member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral and belonged to the Daughters of Penelope.

She was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Effie Metropolis.

Family members include her sister, Penelope Garrett of Manchester; one nephew and his wife, William and Carole Metropolis of Merrimack.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Calef Road.
