Stella Therrien, RN, age 103, died Nov.4, 2023.
She was born in Bedford, NH, Aug. 6, 1920. She was the daughter of Alfred and Florida Bisson. She grew up in Bedford and graduated from West High School.
She trained and graduated from Hillsborough County Hospital in 1941. She did private duty and was employed by Elliot Hospital as Head Nurse in the medical and surgical ward for several years. She worked part time at the Gale Home until her retirement. She held memberships in the American Nurses Association and the National Association of Catholic Nurses.
She was predeceased by her husband Andrew Therrien and son Donald Therrien, RN, in 1981. Her twin brother Roger Bisson, in 1995 and son Norman Therrien, in 2014.
Members of her family include, daughter-in-law Denise Therrien of Hooksett. Granddaughters, Karen Charest (Daniel) of Hooksett, Kathryn Cunningham (John) of Barrington, Kristine Soares (John) of Hooksett and grandson, Kevin Therrien (Sue) of Ludlow, MA. Niece Sandra Dyer and nephew Donnie Bisson of Fla., 9 great grand-children and 2 great-great grand-children.
She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed going to the Lighted Heart Blind Club meetings with her friends.
Her family wishes to thank the Hillsborough County Nursing home for their dedicated care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of choice.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester, is assisting with arrangements.
