Steven D. Gray, 62, of Manchester, died on February 9, 2021, at Elliot Hospital, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Born in Boise, ID on December 16, 1958, he was the son of the late Vernon and Jean (Hoffschnider ) Gray He served in the US Navy for 16 years, before retiring with honorable discharge in 1994. He also worked as an alarm specialist with Cook Security before retiring in 2019.
Steven loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking and driving. He was also a Jeopardy enthusiast who loved to share his knowledge of the world, through his life travels. Steven was loved by many and loved all those that surrounded him. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted, kind, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Surviving family members include his wife of 22 years, Lynn A. (Arsenault) Gray; three children, Jason Puffen and fiancé Rachel Wornstaff of Bedford, Danielle Puffen of Merrimack, and CheriLynn Ruiter and spouse Nicole of Manchester; many grandchildren; one sister, Sue Skinner and husband Bob; one brother, Fred Gray; and two nephews, Chris and Nick Gray. He was predeceased by both parents; and one son, Fred Gray.
Due to restrictions of COVID 19, there are no services. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
