Steven M. Raymond, 47, of Manchester died May 8, 2011 at Elliot Hospital after a two year battle with brain cancer.

He was born in Manchester on November 24, 1963 to Donald and Betty (Irish) Raymond. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester

He was a graduate of Central High School in 1981 and was a member of the varsity basketball and baseball teams. He also played baseball for Post 79.

Mr. Raymond worked at Denron Plumbing and Heating Company in Manchester for many years.

He was an avid sports fan and was active in youth athletics. He participated and coached at many levels including Central Little League, North Little League, North Soccer, Pony League, Babe Ruth League, AAU basketball and Manchester Community College basketball. He also refereed for local school sports.

IN HIS LIFE: He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend.

The family includes his wife of 23 years, Diane P. (Nelson) Raymond of Manchester; two children, Katherine Raymond and Kory J. Raymond both of Manchester; three siblings, David A. Raymond and his wife, Michele, and Donna L. Curran and her husband, George, all of Goffstown, and Joe Raymond of Manchester; his beloved dog, Jack; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, May 12, 2011 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
