Susan N. Jodoin

July 29, 1957 — February 27, 2025

Hooksett, NH

Susan (Noury) Jodoin, 67, of Hooksett, passed away on February 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born in Manchester, NH on July 29, 1957, Susan was the daughter of Robert and Joyce (McCormack) Noury. She lived on the west side of Manchester during her formative years, later building a home in Hooksett in 1985, where she raised her family.

She was a proud graduate of Trinity High School’s class of 1975. She was an avid athlete, competing in cheerleading and basketball. She began working at New Hampshire Eye Associates in 1972, eventually completing several courses at UNH Manchester as well as an Ophthalmic Assistant course and an Ophthalmic Technician course from 1984-1985. She worked at NH Eye Associates from 1972-1986, as she awaited the birth of her first daughter.

One of her greatest accomplishments in life was becoming a mother. Her pride and joy were her three daughters, Alyson, Lauren and Adriana. Whether she was driving them to dance class or between sports games and practices, Susan managed it all with a little help from her trusty calendar. She later served on the Board of Directors and held a Teacher’s Aide position at Brookside Nursery School for several years while her daughter Adriana attended.

Prior to Susan becoming an “empty nester”, she worked for Meals on Wheels in Manchester, initially as a volunteer in the kitchen and then later as a meal delivery driver from 2010-2020. She helped put smiles on hundreds of participants and loved on their furry friends. She always had a bag of treats in her car, ready to spoil any animal she encountered along the route.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and knitting, known infamously for the hundreds of baby hats she donated to the Elliot Hospital. She was an avid New England sports fan who especially loved taking spring break trips down to Fort Myers to watch the Red Sox play the Northeastern Huskies, her daughters’ alma mater. She also took great pride in maintaining her yard and garden. On nice days, you would find Susan walking the neighborhood or around Dorrs Pond in Manchester or taking a trip out to the Isles of Shoals on their family boat. She was at peace walking along the island trails, showing everyone the way around the island. Her last few years were spent surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren, as well as her wonderful caregiver, Mandy and her cat, Charlie.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Jodoin of Auburn; three children, Alyson Moriarty and her husband, Jonathan, of Stratham, Lauren Murphy and her husband, Michael, of Manchester and Adriana Jodoin and her partner, Daniel, of Sharon, MA; five grandchildren, Julian, Michael, Charlotte, Jackson and Molly; her aunt and best friend, Alice M. Conway of Bedford; a sister, Robin N. Hogan of Holderness; a brother, Jeffrey S. Noury of Portsmouth as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Joyce Noury as well as her sister, Bonnie J. Black of Londonderry.
