Sylvia Burroughs, 97, of Goffstown, died May 9, 2017 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
She was born in Manchester on November 21, 1919, the daughter of John and Catherine Czapowicz. She was educated in Manchester, and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
Sylvia dedicated her life to her family. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, George E. Burroughs, in 1997.
The family includes two daughters, Anne Stanfield of Andover, MA, and Claudia Patton of New Orleans, LA; six sons, George Burroughs of Mashpee, MA, John Burroughs of Manchester, Steve Burroughs of Manchester, Jack Burroughs of Bedford, David Burroughs of Fitchburg, MA, and Michael Burroughs of Manchester; sixteen grandchildren, Kevin, Eric, John, Arthur, Kim, Peter, Susan, Scott, Jason, Lisa, Billy, Mary, Matthew, Patrick, Jamie, and Brandon; and thirteen great grandchildren, Austin, Riley, Isabella, Emily, Sophie, Nicholas, Kyra, Angela, Gabriel, Trinity, Amani, Jailen and Emerson. Sylvia is also predeceased by her grandson, Jason S. Burroughs; four sisters, Hazel Blake, Annie Krochmal, Madeline Greeno, and Olga Krag; and two brothers, Alec Czapowicz, and George Czapowicz.
