Tamra J. Malkin

d. December 14, 2014

Tamra J. (Horne-Bellemore) Malkin, 54, of Ellington, CT died on December 14, 2014 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester, NH on December 9, 1960, she was the daughter of Richard and Roberta (Lecuyer) Horne, Sr. She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester West High School in 1979. She earned her nursing degree from Catholic Medical Center Nursing School in 1982.

Tami had worked as a surgical nurse (RNFA) with Catholic Medical Center for 32 years. She enjoyed spending summers on Lake Winnipesauke, playing "serious" games of Scrabble and Dominos with her husband Neil and quilting in her recent years.

Those who knew Tami will cherish her strong will and her kind heart. She was a caregiver and would always put others before herself. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

She leaves behind her loving husband of four years, Dr. Neil Malkin of Ellington, CT; her father Richard Horne, Sr. of Manchester; two sons, Nicholas Bellemore and fiance Ashley Dingle of Bedford, and Thomas Bellemore and wife Leah of Manchester; a granddaughter, Layla Bellemore of Manchester; four sisters, Melanie Huberty and husband Jeff of Bedford, Jennifer Perdue and husband Chris of Manchester, Mary Beth Soterion and husband Kevin of Bedford, and Angela Makin and husband Karl of Manchester; two brothers, Richard Horne, Jr. and wife Carlene of Bedford, and Timothy Horne and wife Laurie of Bedford; her mother and father-in-law, Dr. & Mrs. Meyer Malkin of Rockville, CT; several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; and too many close friends to mention. Tami and her family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers of both Brigham & Women's Hospital and Dana Farber Center for their excellent care.

Tami was predeceased by her mother, Roberta Horne in September 2004.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St, Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Raphael Food Pantry, 103 Walker St, Manchester, NH 03102.
