Theobald A. Therrien, 84, of Auburn died March 11, 2003 at Elliot Hospital, Manchester after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, April 26, 1918, he was the son of Alfred W. and Fedora (Morin) Therrien. He was a graduate of West High School. He had been a resident of Auburn since 1958.
He was a roofer in the family business of A.W. Therrien Roofing Co.
Mr. Therrien was a charter member of the Auburn Lion's Club and past president of Senior Citizens in Auburn for 15 years. He was an Auburn police commissioner, and served on the Auburn Budget Committee for several years. In addition he was a Rockingham Family Mediator for several years.
He was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Auburn, where he taught C.C.D. for several years and served on various parish committees.
Family members include his wife of 64 years, Jeanne D. (Martel) Therrien of Auburn; 2 sons, Robert J. Therrien of Schenectady, NY and Paul D. Therrien of Auburn; a daughter, Lorraine P. Senechal of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; four brothers, Gerard Therrien of Manchester, Josephat Therrien of Goffstown, Maurice Therrien of Pittsford, VT, and Robert Therrien of West Swanzey; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Irene J. Leduc in 1986.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday March 15, 2003 in St. Peter Church, Auburn. Burial was in Longmeadow Cemetery, Auburn.
