Theodore Bartus

Theodore Bartus, 73, of Manchester, died March 9, 2004, at his residence after a sudden illness.

Born in Manchester, June 29, 1930, he was the son of Joseph and Jenny Moskwa Bartus. He attended Manchester Central High School, and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Mr. Bartus worked for 34 years at Waumbec Mills. He later worked 12 years for the NH Dept of Transportation as a cashier at the Bedford Toll.

A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the American Legion, Jutras Post.

Family members include his wife of 23 years, Eleanor M. (Perreault) (Adams) Bartus of Manchester; four stepchildren, June Adams, Steven C. Adams, both of Kennebunk, ME, Faith Fraizo of Harbor City, CA, and Wayne Adams of Sanford, ME; 5 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Bartus of Gainesville, Ga; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Saturday March 13, 2004 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester.

After cremation, urn burial will be in Rollinsford Cemetery in the spring.
