Theresa E. (Desmarais) Drew, 78, of Manchester died June 3, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Manchester on May 22, 1926, she was the daughter of George and Regina (Roberge) Desmarais. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was also a member of Prayers For Life and a longtime communicant of St. Catherine Church.
Mrs. Drew enjoyed time with her family and the many friends she made playing bingo. She was the last survivor of 10 children.
She was predeceased by a son, Richard R. Drew in 1996 and her husband, Sylvester "Buster" Drew in 1999.
The family includes four children, David J. Drew of Manchester, Elaine D. McGranaghan of Northfield, Claire M. McGibbon of Astatula, FL and Arthur P. Drew of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Alison Luciano of Manchester, Stephen McGranaghan, Thomas McGranaghan and Michael McGranaghan all of Northfield, Jesse Drew, Chelsea Drew and Lindsey Drew all of Manchester and Tamara McGibbon of Astatula, FL; two great grandchildren, Janessa and Jaelynn; many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday June 7, 2004 in St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester 03104.
