Theresa "Terry" Hannah (Gaynor) Maturo, 87, of Bedford, passed away on April 27, 2017 at Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on October 25, 1929 to Patrick Joseph and Mary Jane (Mulhall) Gaynor. She graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls and lived in Manchester for most of her life.
Theresa worked at Modutec Industries in Manchester for many years.
Family was Terry's passion and delight as well as going to the beach, visiting a casino from time to time and cooking and baking for and with her family. She also loved and spoiled all of her many dogs over her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Maturo, Jr. in 1984 and her three siblings, Joseph Gaynor, Helen Geddes and Mary Zaricki.
The family includes four children, Charles Maturo and his wife, Barbara, of Hampton, Dianne "Dee" Caron and her husband, Bill, of Bedford, Kathleen Brown and her husband, Steve, of Portsmouth and Cynthia McGrath and her husband, Bill, of Brooksville, FL. Theresa was also a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Steve Maturo, Mike Maturo, William Caron, Michelle Winning, Dan Brown and Eric Brown; She also had nine great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for all the compassion and loving care provided by everyone at Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation in Bedford.
A funeral ceremony was held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 480 Donald St., Bedford, NH 03110.
