Therese M. (Girard) Cushing, 83, of Manchester, died March 31, 2018 at Bedford Hills Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on September 24, 1934 to Herve and Cora (Cameron) Girard. She lived in Manchester for most of her life.
Therese worked at Catholic Medical Center for over 30 years as a nurse's aide and ward secretary. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, music, reading and especially time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Scott C. Cushing.
The family includes three children, William Cushing and his wife, Lucille, of Litchfield, Susan Martin and her husband, Larry, of Manchester and Linda Wescott and her husband, Thomas, of Gilford; six grandchildren, Nicole, James, Cheryl, Michael, Sarah and Stephanie; 11 great grandchildren, Dominick, Cameron, Owen, Amani, Nathan, Eylin, Reagan, Mila, Kylie, Sahira and Angel.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 166 So. River Rd., Suite 210, Bedford, NH 03110.
