Therese (Marcoux) (Allard) Gosselin, died on May 20, 2017 at the age of 95.
She was born on August 23, 1921 in Canada to Napoleon and Isala (LaGrange) Marcoux. She has been a resident of Manchester most of her life.
Mrs. Gosselin formerly worked at Notre Dame Hospital (now CMC) in the dietary department. She attended Ste. Marie School and West High School. She was also a member of the Society of St. Anne, Prime Time, and the National Active and Retired Employees Association. She also volunteered her time to many local organizations.
Mrs. Gosselin was predeceased by her two husbands, Robert J. Allard in 1961 and William J. Gosselin in 1975; her son, Dr. Robert E. Allard in 2009; two brothers, Joseph and Alfred Marcoux; four sisters, Maria Ryan, Jeannette Demers, Rita Paris, and Yvonne Mercier; and a step-daughter, Sylvia Lamy.
She is survived by two children, Denise (Allard) Farrah and her husband, Eli, of Potomac, MD and Donald Allard; a daughter in law, Kate Allard of Andover, MA; a step daughter, Vivian West of Hopkinton; five grandchildren, Catherine (Dan) Bergschneider, Christopher (Lisa) Allard, James (Vikki) Farrah, Danielle and Michael Farrah; six great grandchildren, Ella and Zoe Bergschneider, Ryan and Liam Allard, Isabelle and Madelyn Farrah and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family was the center of her life and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Patriots and Celtics, golf and ice skating.
Therese will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who always maintained a strong Catholic faith and was a role model for all of her family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
