Therese J. Paquette

Therese J. Paquette, 77, of Manchester, died December 20, 2006, at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Joly, Quebec, Canada, January 21, 1929, and was the daughter of Ferdinand and Albertine (Deguire) Bourgon. She grew up in Canada and lived in California from 1960 until she moved to Manchester in 1973.

She and her husband owned and operated the Sy Hofbrau Restaurant, formerly on Elm St. in Manchester, for many years.

She was married to Simeon "Sy" Paquette, who died in 1995.

Family members include three brothers, Jean Paul Bourgon, Roland Bourgon, and Gerard Bourgon, all of Canada; two sisters, Germaine Bourgon, and Juliette Chagnon, both of Canada; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday December 23, 2006 at St. Hedwig Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
